Meeting Room Facilities

A total of 13,000 sq. ft. of dedicated conference and banquet facilities are available, designed to accommodate 10 to 360. These facilities come equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual display and ISDN lines for rapid access to networks and video-teleconferencing worldwide. Our dedicated staff, provide conference planning assistance to ensure a successful meeting.

A complete line of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and services is available.


Business Centre

Twenty-four hour business services can be arranged (8:00 am to 7:00 pm through regular staff, after 7:00 pm through the Concierge) Monday through Friday. Specific meeting planner support services includes:

  • photocopying, fax, mail, postage, delivery
  • airline ticketing
  • secretarial dictation, transcription & typing
  • translation services
  • rental of in-room fax
  • personal computer and modems
  • cell phone and cell battery recharge
  • touch tone telephone with computer and facsimile compatible jacks
  • voice mail and modem hook-ups


    Shipping Materials

    All materials should be addressed as follows: The Metropolitan Hotel, 108 Chestnut Street, Toronto, Ontario M5G 1R3. Attention: Conference Services, Contact Name, Name of Organization, date, time, to be delivered to meeting room on (date of function).

    For information or regulations concerning shipment of materials/documents into Canada, please contact Canada Customs at 1-416-973-8022 or your customs broker. International visitors should refer to our notes elsewhere on this site.


    Decorations

    Provided complimentary for your event, are floor-length linens, fresh cut flowers and votive candles. Our Catering Department will be pleased to assist you in arranging further decorations for your event.


    Electrical Power

    The standard 110v power supplies are available in all our banquet rooms. Additional power requirements can be supplied at a nominal cost through our Catering Department (see floor plans for power supply locations). All meeting rooms have capabilities for teleconferencing, high-speed internet access and direct dial lines.


    Music & Entertainment

    The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada require notification when music is played. A fee will be charged. Your hotel representative would be pleased to assist.
